An absolute ripper from Roberto Mata Naranjo, one of Costa Rica’s pioneer producers, this bad boy is an epic crowd pleaser; super rich, smooth and nutty, with delicious sweet orange notes to finish.
Roberto has been producing coffee for over 50 years, and as a prominent figure in the Tarrazu coffee community, he’s been committed to environmentally sustainable practices, emphasising traditional farming methods, reducing the carbon footprint and improving the quality of coffee production.
This particular gem comes from Roberto’s, Finca Las Nubes located at the ideal altitudes for producing specialty coffee, between 1700 and 1900 masl. With rich organic soils, good drainage, and natural conditions enhanced by the nearby Los Santos Forest Reserve, it's the perfect combo of knowledge, skill and environment, which makes this coffee shine.
Super mellow, smooth and sweet, this fella brings a big body alongside lovely zesty orange and dried cranberry notes. It’s an epic crowd pleaser, and an elegant example of a washed Costa Rican. It’s simply a bloody good drop perfectly balanced and complex enough to satisfy a specialty coffee aficionado, or the less experienced entusiast.
