We sourced this gem for the more caffeine sensitive among us; a delicious, washed coffee from Colombia, & it’s very nearly 100% decaffeinated.
Once processed and dried, the coffee undergoes the Sugarcane Decaffeination process. Which, uses a natural byproduct of sugarcane production (ethyl acetate) as a solvent. The beans are submerged into it and the ethyl acetate binds to the caffeine, and with the help of a little steam, it’s mostly removed.
The result is a coffee which maintains exceptional quality attributes. Apple & biscuit notes, with a mild yet bright acidity. It’s an excellent tasting brew, minus the jitters. Perfect for sipping all day & long into the evening
