Gito, meaning tiny, in Kinyandarawa, is a small-screen selection of Red Bourbon from Rwanda’s Nyamasheke District, a juicy, fruit-forward natural with dense sweetness and silky structure. You can expect red grape and dark plum notes, wrapped in a creamy, dulce de leche finish.
This coffee comes from a group of smallholder producers delivering cherries to three neighbouring stations - Kilimbi, Rugali, and Gisheke - all managed by the team at Muraho Trading Co. The shared goal across these producers is to grow better cherries, improve harvest quality, and secure stable, higher-paying buyers.
By focusing on consistently high cherry quality, these growers can access Muraho’s streamlined processing and global export reach, raising the value of their harvests without the need for costly infrastructure. In return, buyers like us get access to traceable, tastyRwandan lots from producers who are steadily growing year to year.
This is a sweet, structured espresso with natural-process depth; silky and full-bodied, it opens with soft dried fruit and plum notes, then lifts into bright, grape-like acidity, finishing with milky caramel richness. Clean and sweet, and just enough funk to keep you on your toes.
